Praying for Harvesters
Proverbs 10:5 "He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son."
Praying for availability of Harvesters:
Matthew 9:37-38 (NIV) “Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'- Pray for God to raise up and send forth laborers into the harvest field in Lilongwe, Malawi, who are passionate and committed to sharing the gospel.
- Ask for individuals with diverse gifts and talents to be equipped and empowered by the Holy Spirit for effective ministry.
- Pray for a spirit of willingness and obedience among believers to respond to God's call to be harvesters in His kingdom.
- Praying for Wisdom: James 1:5 (NIV)
"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."- Pray for wisdom and discernment for harvesters as we navigate the harvest field, seeking God's guidance in every decision and interaction.
- Ask for insight into the needs and challenges of the community, as well as creative strategies for effectively sharing the gospel.
- Pray for wisdom in handling challenges and opportunities that may arise in the process of harvesting.
- Praying for harvesters to learn how to sow or recognize the yields: -
Psalm 126:5-6 (NIV)"Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them."- Pray for harvesters to be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively sow the seeds of the gospel in the hearts of people.
- Pray for a spirit of boldness and confidence in proclaiming the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
- Harvesters to invest in themselves and others:
Matthew 6:33 (NIV) But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."- Pray for harvesters to invest time, effort, and resources in their own spiritual growth and development, cultivating intimacy with God and maturity in Christ.
- Pray for a spirit of generosity and sacrificial giving among believers, both individually and corporately, to support the work of the kingdom.
- Harvesters to support and complement others:
Psalm 133: 1 (NIV) How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!"- Pray for unity, cooperation, and mutual support among harvesters, in advancing the kingdom of God.
- Ask for humility and a willingness to serve one another, recognizing and valuing each other's unique contributions and gifts.
- Pray for a spirit of encouragement and edification within the body of Christ, fostering a culture of love, acceptance, and unity.
- Praying for Spiritual Preparation and Readiness:

- Praying for Discipleship and Growth
Matthew 28:19-20a Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."- Pray that the harvesters shall ensure that new believers are discipled and nurtured in their faith, growing in knowledge, maturity, and obedience to God's Word.
- Pray for the establishment of strong community of harvesters and healthy churches where the harvest can be grounded in the faith and equipped for ministry.
