a) Worship and thanksgiving: Psalms 138:1-3 NKJV

I will praise You with my whole heart; Before the gods I will sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul.

• Worship the Lord for his loving kindness and tender mercies he has shown Malawi in the previous week. He has shielded us from natural disasters like cyclones and flooding.

• Worship the Lord for his truthfulness.

• Worship the Lord who answers our prayers whenever we cry unto him.

• Thank God for seeing us through the previous week. Thank him for protecting us, providing for us and for strengthening us.

• Thank the Lord for the powerful Sunday service. (Thank the Lord for using our pastor so mightily to preach with boldness and power). Thank God for all who took part in the service, convener, praise team and the protocol team.

• Thank him for all his done this year, all he will do and all he is doing in our lives, church and nation.

b) Sunday Service: Breaking the power of Satan Rom 1:16

Aspects of breaking the hold of the devil on someone

1. Happens when people’s eyes are opened to the gospel

• Pray that the Lord will open the eyes of ICA members to hear and see the spiritual truth and understand what it means in all aspects of their lives

• Pray for ICA members who have not fully given their lives to Christ. Pray thatthey will surrender their lives to Christ and stop walking in spiritual blindness

2. Happens when the light of the gospel drives out the hearts of people

• Pray that ICA members will walk in the light of the knowledge of the glory of God

• Pray that ICA members will receive the gospel and drive out any darkness

• Pray that ICA members will minister light to people living in darkness in the city with the gospel of the Lord.

3. Happens when forgiveness of sins is provided to the guilty

• Pray that ICA members will not be bounded by the bonds of guilt and unforgiveness.

• Pray that ICA members will be forgiving people

• Pray for reconciliation and restitution to take place in relationships at ICA. Pray that people will boldly approach each other and confess forgiveness.

4. When one is placed in the community of the sanctified by faith

• Pray for that ICA will be a community where deliverance will thrive.

• Pray that ICA members will be free of the bondage mentality

• Pray that ICA members will learn to apply the word of God to their lives

5. Invoke on the power of the gospel to light any darkness in your life.

6. Pray that the Lord will send us as deliverers of hope to those bound and living in darkness
